Kaitlyn takes to the water!

Kaitlyn had her first boat ride this weekend. Mommy's Aunt Anita and Uncle Marc live on a lake with several fingers to navigate. They own a pontoon boat, and on a beautiful October afternoon we boarded!

Here she is, wearing a super-cute life preserver!

It took Kaitlyn a little while to get used to the sound of the motor, and the movement in the water. She sat with Daddy, taking in her surroundings.

It wasn't too long before she asked to get down and explore the boat. She had her "sea legs" almost right away!

After she finished her exploration, she snacked on some apple slices and enjoyed the view from the side of the boat.

It was a very nice day; warm in the sun and slightly cool in the breeze. Leaves were just beginning to change on the trees. We saw several ducks, a heron, an egret, and a few turtles too.

Kaitlyn really enjoyed her first boat ride. She babbled through much of the trip. She didn't seem to be bothered by the movement on the water (it was nice and calm, a good first trip for her).

Hopefully this is the first of many great boating experiences she will have in her life!
